Storing your digital camera images PDF Print E-mail

Many people are so excited with their new digital cameras that they have not considered how to save their images for long term protection.  With film, you have the negatives.  You receive them in protective sleeves when your film is developed.  With digital, you have to create your own storage system!  Camera cards, zip disks and floppies degrade.  Computer hard drives can fail, because you can accidentally delete files.

A crash or virus can eliminate years of memories in an instant.  For the longest possible life, have your images copied to a quality CD each time you print from your memory card.  Be sure to label the CD so you can find your image files quickly in the future.  When it's time to make reprints or enlargements, you'll be ready!  Finally, the simplest way to preserve a digital image is as a durable photographic print that only FAST FOTO & digital can provide to meet your quality standards.  You don't need a computer to view prints, and in 10 years you will be glad to have them, so come to FAST FOTO & Digital, where we will help you out!
